Finally Get the Answers You’ve Been Looking For: A New Way to Test for Allergies is Here

Are you tired of dealing with allergic flare ups and having no idea where they’re coming for? Do you regularly get red bumps or itchy skin? If you do, then you could be allergic to something you’re regularly in contact with. The difficult reality is that everyone comes into contact with so many chemicals and products every day that finding out what’s triggering the reaction used to be virtually impossible.

The good news is that today Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Medical Group offers T.R.U.E. TEST patch testing. You can visit us at our conveniently located office to get the test right away. You’ll finally find out what specific allergens are causing the reaction you’re getting.

Now you’re wondering: How exactly does it work?

This is a simple skin allergy test that uses three panels. Each of the panels has a very minute amount of a different allergen on it. We put these panels in contact with your back, and the allergens are moistened, which releases them into your skin. When the patch is removed, we can see which one of the allergens caused a reaction.

A comfortable way to get the answers you crave

One of the things we like about this test at Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Medical Group is the fact that it’s one of the more comfortable options. It’s true that you’ll suffer from a reaction to the allergens, but in all but the rarest cases, this reaction is very mild. We administer the test with hypoallergenic surgical tape, which assures that it’s safe for every type of skin. One thing to note: T.R.U.E. TEST is currently only approved for those 18 years or older.

You’ll be tested for 36 common allergies

When we use these patches, we can test for up to 36 of the most common allergens. Some of the more common results include allergies to:

  • Wool alcohols.
  • Artificial fragrance.
  • Epoxy.
  • Gold.
  • Nickel.
  • Benzocaine.
  • Parabens.
  • Rubber.
  • Formaldehyde.

We give you more than just your results

When you work with Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Medical Group, you’re working with an allergy doctor who won’t just tell you what the results of your test are, we’ll help you understand them. We can point out the most common substances, products, and medications that may be impacting you depending on what you’re allergic to. We can then advise you on how to avoid contacting these, and can provide treatment options to ease your response to them.
